Coffee, coffee and more coffee

Belgium doesn’t have Starbucks. France does, UK does.

However in the capital of Europe no Starbucks yet. And be it as it is, I do miss it.

So one must make adjustments, find replacements. And I did. Not far from where I live, I discovered the Coffee Club. One of the best coffee places in Brussels, the Coffee Club is a coffee heaven. Ideal place to have a late Saturday après-shopping coffee with friends, or to have a Sunday coffee, while reading the paper – anything goes. If you are a coffee drinker (and I am a devoted coffee drinker!) this is one of the places to go to in Brussels.

The choice is endless, so everyone can find their favorite. I keep changing my order to cover as many combinations as possible. The toppings range from caramel, roasted hazelnut, amaretto to cinnamon, macadamia and vanilla.

To make it even more luscious, you can also chose to add to your coffee real chocolate chips, hazelnut chips, mini meringues or mini amaretti. My last coffee choice was a Grande, with amaretto and mini amaretti … and now getting ready for the next weekend, and the next Grande.

It’s really great that you wrote this!. I’ve been to the Coffee Club once and I won’t forget it easily. I recommend trying the tasty aromas (always with a ceramic mug). They really convert a cup of coffee into a delightful mix of flavours and suggestive smells: a ritual ceremony which cannot be missed.

By the way, I did not know there weren’t any Starbucks in Belgium. However, with the Coffee Club, I can’t really see the point of it.

Looking forward to getting to know more in depth this rich coffee world!
