Sunny evenings are not so distant anymore … so where better to enjoy a cold Belgian beer, than on a sunny terrace? We share our favourite 6 Brussels beers bars to soak in the sun. Which one is yours?
L’Ultime Atome: for its great corner terrace, perfect for people watching, a long list of Belgian beers and great food. Service is a bit patchy but the atmosphere plenty makes up for it.
Brasserie de l’Union: a charming local bar, filled with memories, great local Belgian beers and a short but tasty food menu. Be warned, sunny seats are difficult to secure so you might have a drink (or two) standing on the Parvis de Saint Gilles.
Le Dillens: another local of ours, where you can spend the whole day. Great breakfast, decent lunch, nice selection of Belgian beers, nice dinner food and a great terrace. Can you tell we have been spending some here?
Cafe Belga: I will always have a soft spot for Cafe Belga. It used to be for years my local / student hang out. Light, airy, busy, great drinks and Belgian beers menu, and a fantastic terrace overlooking the Ixelles ponds.
Cafe la Pompe: set in an old fuel tanking station, this is probably the most original sunny terrace we have come across. Always full, Cale la Pompe serves great food and a small but great selection of Belgian beers.
Delecta: this cafe / bar has seen a number of transformations over the years. Wine bar, salad bar, now a bistronomic cafe. What never changed is that it is a great spot, with a tiny urban terrace and decent selection of beers.
